National Trust Doubles-Down On Opposition To Projects

Following its well-attended first quarterly meeting of 2017, the St. Lucia national trust held a press briefing on Thursday.
Trust members discussed the environmental implications of a dolphin park at Pigeon Island and firmly voiced their opposition to the DSH project’s proposed causeway to the Maria islands.
The members told the press that as Saint Lucia’s sole protector of natural and cultural heritage, they are determined to stave off any development that poses harm to the environment.
